The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is the federal agency currently tasked with enforcing the FCRA. Before the CFBP took on that job, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) had that responsibility. While the CFPB is involved in some enforcement actions, and you can file a complaint with the CFPB if you have a concern, the FCRA can also be enforced by private citizens through individual and class action lawsuits.
If you believe you have a potential claim under the FCRA, please contact us.
